Delete your account

Deletion is immediate, permanent, and done from the app.

From the app

1. Open Do you Prefer and tap your photo in the bottom bar to go to your profile.
2. Under "Sign out", tap "Delete my account".
3. Confirm with "Yes, delete".

Without access to the app

If you can no longer sign in, send an email to contact@doyouprefer.app from your account's email address, with your username. The account is deleted within 7 days and you receive a confirmation.

What is erased

• Your profile: email, username, bio, photo, country, date of birth, gender.
• Your polls and their options, your comments and replies, your likes.
• Your conversations and private messages, your notifications, your blocks and reports.

What remains

The vote totals of the polls you took part in. They are linked to nobody, so there is nothing about you left to erase. The hosting provider's technical logs delete themselves within 30 days.
